- click on rectangle on panel to put switch in this rectangle

3-way switches

For 3-way switches there are two tabs for first sub-switch, and next two tabs for second sub-switch

Switch parameters

Press right mouse button on switch and select 'Switch parameters' from local menu to open window with parameters:

Image

arrow Name - switch name is shown on left-bottom cell corner on panel. Should be short as possible

arrow Key - key on keyboard which can be used to switch switch. Key is shown on left-upper cell corner on panel

arrow Type of DCC items - based on real connection to DCC items select one of following type:

switch decoder switch is connected to 'switch decoder'. 'Switch decoder' is deferent from 'accessory decoder' on way of port numbering. 'Switch decoder' have one number per switch; 'accessory decoder' have two numbers per switch.
accessory decoderswitch is connected to two ports of accessory decoder (may be not subsequent). For each connection you must enter decoder address and port number
accessory decoder with integrated feedback module switch is connected to accessory decoder which send feedback information on the same address. Program waits on feedback signal to finish switching.
accessory decoder and separated feedback decoder as formerly but you must enter feedback module address, because is not integrated with accessory decoder.

Remarks: To change type of DCC items you must first unbind all DCC items from all 'binding points'

Binding to DCC items

After select 'type of DCC Items' you should bind every 'bind point' (on left list) to DCC item (decoder/feedback). Select on list on left 'bind point' (eg. switch decoder) and press button 'Bind/Unbind' to select DCC item:

Image

For every 'bind point' you can:

arrow Bind to new DCC item: select type of new DCC item (list depend on 'bind point') to create it. This option is selected most often.

arrow bind to existing DCC item: to one DCC Item (decoder/ feedback) can be connected to more than one item on panels: when items on railroads are connected to decoders with the same address.

To connect two switches to one DCC item with one address: - Bind first switch to new DCC item. - Bind second switch to the same DCC item (not new DCC item with the same address) - Changing one of this switch causes changing all switching (because are connected to one DCC item)

arrow Unbind: This option enables unbind 'bind point' from DCC item. (After unbind DCC item from last item, DCC item is deleted, unless you uncheck option 'Automatically delete unused DCC items' in parameters)

List of new DCC item types depend on 'bind point':

DCC Item type 'Bind point' name DCC Items group
switch decoder switch decoder switch decoder port
accessory decoder,
accessory decoder with feedback
straight
no-straight
accessory decoder port
accessory decoder and separate feedback decoder straight
no-straight
accessory decoder port
straight-FB
no-straight-FB
feedback decoder port

See more information on selected DCC System.

Switching time

arrow Switching time (-1 -> don't switch power off; 0 -> default) (ms) - time after which switch should finish switching - for DCC items without feedback - after this time program switch off power on decoder port and finish switching. - for DCC items with feedback - should be -1, because program should wait for feedback signal. If there is number >=0, program - assumes that switch change position without feedback signal value 0 means that parameter is taken from DCC System parameters

arrow Max feedback response time before error (0 -> defualt) - maximum time for feedback response time after which program assume error - value can be type in if previous parameter is -1 and 'type of DCC items' is with feedback - if switch doesn't change state (by sending feedback signal) during this time program stops switching and signals error. Program assume than switch isn't change state. - value 0 means that parameter is taken from DCC System parameters

Other parameters

Image

arrow Switch reversed - useful when switch works in deferent way than on screen .

arrow Left/right way is default - Normaly straight way is 'normal way'. After selecting this checkbox 'no-straight way' is normal way. This is important after starting program when all swiches are setup to 'normal way'.

Max speed

Max speed information is used during calculating the signal lights (and to calculate max speed between blocks).

arrow straight: max speed when switch is set to straight way arrow left/right: max speed when switch is set to no-straight way
