It is possible to run the program on the second (third, fourth, etc) computer and connect to the program on the first computer to remotely control railroads model!
To connect to second computer:
- On the first computer run SRCP server (from 'Tools' menu select 'SRCP server - start'),
- Save your IP address (or computer name) which appears on screen,
- If a firewall or an antivirus program reports that the program GbbKolejka wants to start the service, you must allow it,
- On the second (third, fourth, etc.) the computer start GbbKolejka,
- From the 'File' menu select 'Connect to another GbbKolejką' and enter the IP address (or computer name) of first computer
On the first computer in parallel with second (third, fourth, etc.) computer you can perform most operations related to running traffic on the railroads layout.
Notes:
- All computers must be connected to the network (TCP/IP) - through the switch and/or Wifi.
- On your first computer port 12346 must be opened in the firewall to allow other computers connect to first.
- After starting the SRCP server on the first computer you can not enter edit mode. To enter the edit mode, turn off the SRCP server but this causes disconnecting all other computers.
- After starting the SRCP server you can also connect to it from the program GbbTrainsWP7 on you mobile with Windows Phone 7.
